Taking care of someone who is ill or incapacitated is important, and loving, but you have to ALSO look after yourself. If you are run down, or putting your own livelihood in a negative position, your stress levels will not help you help the other person. You cannot give a gift you don’t have, so be sure to practice self-care when caring for others.
